Welcome to my blog

Ok, so the picture above isn't of me - but it's pretty similar. Grey hair on top, shirt floating to hide the advancing midriff bulge (I'm working on that) and the stone chinos.

It's pretty typical gear for an old geezer like me - even if I still feel 17 inside.

'The Future is in your Hands' is still true even for me in my retirement years.

I've led a good, if rather uneventful life, and met mainly good people - and unfortunately some rotters!

With a growing sense of the fragility of life I was determined to abandon the pernicious weed and give up smoking after all these years!

Years on - and I'm still a victim to nicotine - this time its lozenges. Not good but better than cigarettes.

I do try to keep busy - and am trying to become interested in gardening, photography and cooking.
